Job summary

UC San Diego Health Sciences in La Jolla is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to support start-up procedures, recruitment, screening, enrollment, and maintenance of subjects under supervision of the manager. You will assist with regulatory compliance, data maintenance, and communication with assigned physicians to advance clinical trials.

The role emphasizes documentation, IRB/HRPP policy adherence, informed consent creation, and collaboration with PIs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience performing clinical research duties in a clinical research environment and familiarity with FDA regulations, NCI policies, and Good Clinical Practice.
Experience interpreting medical charts and abstracting data from records for study subject screening.
Experience in medical assessment, patient interviewing, and interpreting lab procedures to determine protocol eligibility.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and assist with start-up procedures, recruitment, screening, enrollment and maintenance of subjects.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory guidelines and maintain clinical research data files.
Communicate with assigned physicians; support PIs with proposals, progress reports and manuscripts.
