Job summary

The Nemours Foundation is seeking a Perinatal Access Representative to support the Nemours Fetal Care Center. The role focuses on answering NFCC phones, managing intakes, scheduling, registration, and validating insurance.

You will work closely with Fetal Therapy Nurse Coordinators, APPs, and Physicians to ensure families receive comprehensive care across the Nemours system. Key duties include real-time phone coverage with trauma-informed communication, scheduling imaging and prenatal visits,

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Experience with EMR systems and patient scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming phone calls in real time and in a polite manner using trauma-informed strategies.
• Schedules fetal imaging and prenatal consultations with sub-specialties.
• Performs timely documentation in the EMR.
• Communicates with families to explain the referral process.
• Obtains maternal records for referrals.
• Distributes and confirms receipts of correspondence to referring offices.
• Facilitates scheduling of initial postnatal follow-up with neonatal specialists.
• Contributes to data entry and maintains PHI practices.
• Participates in QI initiatives and telehealth coordination.
• Represents the team in departmental programs and meetings.
