Job summary

Southwest Power Pool (SPP) seeks Lead/Sr./III Performance Support Trainer (Education) to design and implement advanced training solutions for Operations personnel and mentor OAPS staff. This role aligns learning with regulatory requirements and evolving needs, partnering with SMEs and leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant training programs.

The role focuses on developer and evaluator responsibilities, including just-in-time learning, desk qualification, and qualification pathways, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, education/training, or related field; 4 years may substitute for education.
• 10 years of job-related experience in electric utility operations or training/ performance support.
• NERC Operator Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop training programs including scenario-based, simulation, e-learning, and OJT modules.
• Deliver coaching and consult with operators and staff to support desk qualification and certification paths.
• Measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement with leadership.
