Job summary

Southwest Power Pool is seeking a Lead/Senior Performance Support Trainer to design, develop, and implement training solutions for Operations staff. The role focuses on advanced instructional design, performance support, and ensuring regulatory compliance, including NERC requirements.

The position is hybrid with opportunities to mentor other trainers, manage desk qualification and OJT, and contribute to continuous improvement across training programs and performance support tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, education/training, or job-related field.
• 8–10 years of job-related experience in electric utility operations or related training environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop comprehensive training programs, including e-learning and on-the-job modules.
• Lead evaluation of programs using metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide advanced coaching to operators and staff, supporting desk qualification and certification pathways.
• Mentor and develop other trainers and performance support staff.
