Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Consumer Products division seeks an Operations Manager for the Rincon, GA paper mill. You will lead a high-performing team across Pulp and Power, driving continuous improvement in a demanding continuous manufacturing environment.

You will mentor leaders, align safety, quality and production goals, and partner with maintenance to optimize reliability. This role emphasizes risk mitigation and operating excellence in a complex plant setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a large, diverse manufacturing team.
• Proven track record driving process transformation and measurable results.
• Experience developing and executing short- and long-term development strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead operating departments to safety and environmental excellence.
• Direct work processes for pulp mill, steam turbine, and related equipment.
• Develop teams following Principle Based Management guiding principles.
• Align goals across safety, quality, production, and reliability.
• Identify constraints and lead plans to reduce waste and bottlenecks.
• Coordinate planning for shutdowns, training, maintenance, and projects.
• Provide daily technical support to operators and maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to apply reliability and optimize resources.
