Job summary
Ford Motor Company’s Ford Racing division seeks an experienced Interior IP design engineer to lead the design, release, and delivery of interior components for upcoming high-performance models. You will manage cross-functional relationships to ensure on-time launches and adherence to DNA, regulatory standards, and customer expectations.
The role requires 5–8+ years in IP design, CAD experience, and strong program delivery knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- 5-8+ years of Body Interior IP design & release experience, including a completed program.
- 3-5+ years of CAD or visualization tools experience.
- Understanding of GPDS / program delivery processes.
- Knowledge of 3DX, Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, CATIA, DFMEA, FEDE, FEDEBOM, WERS.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, release, and delivery of components and systems across interior commodities for Ford Racing.
- Manage QCWFT to support GPDS milestones.
- Lead FSS and external/internal resources to deliver the program.
- Interface design/color/material studio interfaces to meet customer expectations.
- Ensure conformance to Ford Racing DNA and regulatory requirements.
- Develop innovative solutions for high-performance vehicles and enthusiasts.
- Support issue resolution and design change management during prototype launches.
- Interface with Core Body Interior Engineering Organization.
