Job summary

Ford Motor Company’s Ford Racing division seeks a design release engineer to lead interior components on a forthcoming model program. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams to meet performance, cost, weight, and timing targets across multiple interior commodities.

Responsibilities include steering design release, managing QCWFT milestones, and guiding internal/external resources to deliver the program. A BS in Engineering and 0–3 years of interior design experience are required, with hybrid

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering required.
  • 0-3 years of interior design & release experience.
  • Body structures or closures D&R experience may be considered.
  • 1 year of CAD or visualization tool experience.
  • Understanding of GPDS and program delivery processes.
  • Proficiency with 3DX, Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, CATIA, DFMEA, FEDE, FEDEBOM, and WERS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, release, and delivery of interior components for Ford Racing on a new model program.
  • Manage QCWFT to meet GPDS milestones.
  • Lead FSS and internal/external resources to deliver the program.
  • Manage design and color/material studio interfaces to customer expectations.
  • Ensure conformance to Ford Racing DNA and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop innovative solutions for high-performance vehicles and enthusiasts.
  • Support issue resolution and design change management during prototypes.
  • Interface with Core Body Interior Engineering Organization.
