Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a senior leader to head Body Interior Engineering for Ford Racing vehicle programs in Michigan. You will own interior design, development, validation, and certification, guiding suppliers and internal teams to achieve quality, cost, weight, and timing goals.

The role requires 5+ years in Body Interior design/release, strong GPDS tool knowledge, and experience launching vehicle programs. It is a hybrid onsite leadership position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
• 5+ years of Body Interior design and release experience.
• Familiar with GPDS deliverables and core Ford engineering tools.
• Experience launching new vehicle programs.
• Strong planning and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and certification of Body Interior systems.
• Own Body Interior integration and delivery against QCWFT targets and costs.
• Direct Full Service Suppliers and internal resources for sourcing.
• Manage BOM, WERS, AIMS, 5/8Ds, DVP, and sign-off milestones.
• Build partnerships with Program, Design Studio, Purchasing, Finance, and Core Body Engineering.
