Job summary
Zions Bancorporation’s Enterprise Technology and Operations team seeks a Software Engineer with strong performance testing experience to join the QA Services group in Midvale, UT. This role blends performance engineering with site reliability to enhance online and batch processing performance across platforms.
You will design and execute load tests (JMeter/LoadRunner), analyze API and database performance, and drive improvements across development, CI/CD, and infrastructure in a hybrid work
Qualifications
- 4-5+ years in Performance Engineering or SRE/Software Engineering
- Experience analyzing performance of REST APIs, SOAP, microservices, and batch processing applications
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C#
Responsibilities
- Design and execute load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests using JMeter or LoadRunner
- Analyze performance across application, API, database, and batch processing
- Identify bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations
- Monitor system health using Grafana, Splunk, or similar tools
- Drive root cause analysis and resiliency improvements
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with development and platform teams to meet performance goals
