Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions in New York is seeking a Senior QA Engineer specialized in performance and load testing to design, develop, and analyze tests across APIs, HTTP services, and WebSocket applications.

You will work with Locust, Gatling, and JMeter, build distributed load tests, analyze metrics, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance and load-testing scenarios across HTTP/API endpoints and event-driven/WebSocket traffic.
• Build and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Analyze performance metrics, including response times, latency percentiles (P50, P90, P95, P99), error rates, and throughput.
• Identify performance bottlenecks across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Develop realistic test scenarios that simulate production-like user behavior and traffic patterns.
• Configure and execute distributed load tests to evaluate application performance under high-volume traffic.
• Monitor application performance and system health during test execution.
• Use observability tools to analyze logs, metrics, traces, and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot performance issues and recommend optimizations.
• Prepare detailed performance test reports, findings, and recommendations.
• Support performance tuning, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.
