Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Software Performance Engineer to lead performance efforts on web, mid-tier, and backend systems. You will estimate QA tasks, develop performance plans, script and execute tests, and manage defects while mentoring a junior teammate.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to QA practices. Candidates should bring 3+ years of performance testing experience, strong scripting skills (Java, Python), and experience with LoadRunner/JMeter.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT/CS/Business or equivalent years of experience.
• ISTQB CT-PT certification preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with managers and directors.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with performance testing across web, mid-tier, and backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium performance efforts with minimal oversight.
• Estimate and plan QA activities with project managers.
• Develop performance plans and scripting, execute tests, and manage defects.
• Mentor one other team member and coordinate with leadership.
• Document risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.
