Job summary

Applied Intuition Inc. is seeking a Perception Team Lead to guide a hands-on software team building perception pipelines for EO/IR and Radar, with growth into acoustics and other modalities. The role emphasizes real-world deployments on hardware, mentoring, and collaboration with peer teams.

The position is based in our office with in-person work five days a week and some flexible remote options. Base salary ranges from $160,000 to $235,000 USD annually, plus equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• MS in computer science, ML, robotics, or related fields from a top institution.
• 8+ years industry experience in Perception-related fields (e.g., ATR, ML).
• 2+ years experience in leading teams with varied backgrounds.
• Experience with deploying software to hardware components with rigorous verification and validation.
• Experience with perception pipelines using real-time data from Radar and EO/IR systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of talented software engineers working together on perception and perception autonomy projects.
• Oversee perception pipelines utilizing EO/IR and Radar sensors, with growth into other modalities.
• Oversee the Perception Autonomy service with multiple behaviors and sensor handoffs.
• Lead incorporation of pre-trained models into production perception pipelines.
• Ensure high-quality software for real-world deployment on hardware components.
• Collaborate with partners and internal teams to meet milestones and integrate with peer platforms.
• Manage and track multiple priorities toward common project goals.
