Job summary

Hadrian is building autonomous factories and seeks a leader for the Autonomous Factory Systems Perception team. You will shape the technical roadmap, architect the perception pipeline, and drive collaboration with motion planning, control, and hardware teams to deliver robust industrial perception.

You will guide sensor fusion, model training, and deployment while mentoring engineers and aligning with production goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering in computer vision, robotics perception, or autonomous systems with staff/principal level experience.
• Expert-level command of 3D computer vision including point clouds, depth, and LiDAR-based algorithms in production.
• Strong ML foundations: architecture, training infrastructure, and production deployment.
• Experience in manufacturing or applied robotics with reliability and safety constraints.
• Experience building and deploying real-time perception systems under latency constraints.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the multi-year technical roadmap for the Perception Team; align perception capabilities with the Autonomous Factory Systems strategy.
• Lead architecture of the full perception pipeline: detection, tracking, segmentation, 6-DoF pose estimation, and scene understanding.
• Define integration surface between perception and motion planning, manipulation, control, and simulation with clear contracts.
• Drive sensor fusion strategy across LiDAR, structured light, RGB, and depth cameras; collaborate on calibration pipelines.
• Establish data collection/labeling pipelines, model training/evaluation workflows, and deployment/validation practices.
• Raise the technical bar in hiring: define roles, interview candidates, mentor engineers across levels.
