Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers in Walpole, MA is seeking Per-Diem Residential Counselors to support youth with trauma histories and developmental needs in a residential setting. You will work with a team delivering trauma-informed care and help youths develop coping, life, and social skills.

This role requires physical stamina for 8-10 hour shifts, ability to de-escalate verbally and intervene when needed, and willingness to work evenings, holidays, and weekends under supervision.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working with youth preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A passion for helping kids and making positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Pass CORI/background check and having a valid ID.
• Be physically active for an 8-10 hour shift.
• Participate in verbal de-escalation and physical intervention with youth.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced treatment environment.
• Receive feedback through a structured supervision process.
• Work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
