SimonMed in Las Vegas is seeking a Per-Diem Ultrasound Technologist to perform comprehensive ultrasound exams including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies. You will prepare patients, maintain equipment, document findings in PACS/RIS, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure high-quality, accurate diagnoses.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of ultrasound experience, ARDMS certification, BLS, and state licensure if applicable.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience.
• Experience with general, OB/GYN, and vascular sonography.
• ARDMS Certification (Abdomen, OB/GYN, or other specialty).
• BLS (CPR) Certification.
• State licensure (if applicable).

Responsabilidades

• Perform ultrasound exams including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters), small parts, and vascular studies.
• Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure image quality.
• Review and evaluate images for diagnostic quality and completeness.
• Document exam findings and patient data into the PACS/RIS system.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers for accurate diagnoses.
• Ensure infection control and patient confidentiality are followed.
• Maintain stock of supplies and clean exam areas.
• Assist with training and orientation of students or new staff if applicable.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities.
• Adapt to schedule changes and support departmental workflow.
