Job summary

SimonMed in Glendale, AZ is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular exams, while preparing patients and ensuring comfort and safety.

The role requires ARDMS certification, completion of an accredited program, and BLS CPR; candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work independently or in a team, and committed to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS certification or registry-eligible with plan to obtain within timeframe.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification and state licensure if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, confirm clinical history, and ensure comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure image quality and orientation.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and completeness.
• Document exam findings and patient data accurately into the PACS/RIS system.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient confidentiality, and safety policies.
• Maintain appropriate stock of supplies and clean examination areas.
• Assist with training and orientation of students or new staff, if applicable
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities.
• Adapt to schedule changes and support departmental workflow as needed.
