Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to perform ultrasound examinations and support radiology services. You will explain procedures to patients, obtain histories, and prepare rooms for diagnostic imaging.

Under a radiologist’s supervision, you will operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images and maintain accurate records. Ideal candidates have completed a formal ultrasound training program and possess RDMS certification, with 6–12 months post-registry experience

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal ultrasound training program.
• Six months to one year of post registry preferred.
• RDMS certification (ARDMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain radiographic procedures to patients and obtain relevant history.
• Independently perform clinical diagnostic examinations with room prep.
• Provide basic patient care as needed during procedures.
• Produce permanent records of diagnostic examinations.
• Under radiologist supervision, operate ultrasound equipment to image the body.
