Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for per diem coverage at Center One in Northeast Philadelphia and Elkins Park Campuses. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with responsibilities including diagnostic ultrasound, patient positioning, and image delivery to the radiologist.

The role requires knowledge of RIS/PACS, certification eligibility, and 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred. May travel between Jefferson sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate or completion of a program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonographic examinations using ultrasound equipment for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes.
• Properly positions patients and scans areas for interpretation by the radiologist/physician.
• Instructs patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimal test results.
• Assembles and delivers patient information and images to radiologist/physician for interpretation.
• Maintains equipment and examination room in good condition; follows safety standards.
