Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a full range of ultrasound exams and ensure high-quality scans for interpretation. The role supports patient positioning, equipment setup, and proper recording for PACS transmission.

Per Diem schedule with competitive compensation, located at 500 W Court, Kankakee IL. RDMS/ARRT certification encouraged; BCLS required upon hire and maintained.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Program or current certificate.
• RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in Physics (SPI) and 1 Specialty exam (AB, BR, FE, OB/GYN, or PS) to be completed within one year of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintained.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams and produces technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation.
• Positions patient and equipment and produces an appropriate recording for PACS transmission and storage.
