St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a full range of ultrasound exams and ensure high-quality scans for interpretation. The role supports patient positioning, equipment setup, and proper recording for PACS transmission.

Per Diem schedule with competitive compensation, located at 500 W Court, Kankakee IL. RDMS/ARRT certification encouraged; BCLS required upon hire and maintained.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Program or current certificate.
• RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in Physics (SPI) and 1 Specialty exam (AB, BR, FE, OB/GYN, or PS) to be completed within one year of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintained.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

• Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Program or current certificate.
