Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technologist in the Imaging department for a part-time position at 500 W Court, Kankakee IL. You will perform ultrasound exams, ensure high-quality recordings, and support diagnostic interpretation.

The role requires graduation from an accredited ultrasound program (or current certificate), RDMS/ARDMS or S (ARRT) certification with a year to complete a specialty exam, and current BCLS certification. Previous experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Program or current certificate.
• RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in Physics SPI, and 1 Specialty exam to be completed within one year of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams with competency and produce diagnostic scans.
• Position patient and equipment for accurate recordings.
• Process and transmit images to PACS.
