Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform all ultrasound exams in the Imaging department. Per Diem schedule, on-site location at 500 W Court, Kankakee IL, within Prime Healthcare’s St Mary's Hospital facility.

You will ensure acquisition of diagnostic-quality scans and timely transmission to PACS for interpretation. Ideal candidates hold RDMS/ARDMS certification (or eligible) with a strong ultrasound skill set, plus current BCLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Program or hold a current certificate.
• RDMS/ARDMS certification or equivalent with 1 specialty exam within 1 year of hire.
• Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintained.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations with competency for interpretation.
• Position patient and equipment and produce proper recordings; transmit images to PACS.
