Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist per diem to support operating room teams.

The role involves preparing and handling sterile instruments, maintaining equipment, and assisting surgeons under physician or RN supervision. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited surgical technologist program and hold CPR certification with 0–2 years of relevant clinical experience; orthopedic, GI, or ophthalmology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CPR certification with 0-2 years clinical experience.
• Experience in Orthopedic, GI, Ophthalmology or multispecialty settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions; prepares the operating room.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation and assists with patient positioning.
• Passes instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction, and other diagnostic equipment as needed.
• Transports patients to the operating room and helps with prepping and draping.
• Cleans, restocks, and maintains the operating room after surgery.
