Job summary

Upper Bay Surgery Center is seeking a per diem Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery team in Maryland. The role involves scrubbing for procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and preparing supplies and equipment as part of the surgical team.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma/GED, completion of a surgical technician program, and 1+ years of experience. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for eligible per diem staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• 1+ years of Surgical Tech experience in an ambulatory surgical center and/or hospital.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Teamwork and strong communication skills to collaborate with staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and maintains a sterile field.
• Prepares supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
