Job summary

Northern Michigan Surgical Suites in Michigan is seeking a per diem Surgical Technologist to join our team. You will support the operating room team, prepare and hand instruments, and help maintain a sterile field during procedures.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of OR experience, a Scrub Technician Certification, and BLS; we offer flexible per diem scheduling and a collaborative, quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• 1-2 years of operating room experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and fosters sterile field during procedures.
• Assembles supplies and equipment for procedures per physicians’ preference cards.
• Inspects equipment for proper working condition.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and operating room procedures.
• Cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed.
• Documents patient-care records and other forms according to facility policies.
