Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication, voice, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, educate patients and families, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support the clinical training of students and fellows in a busy hospital setting. This on-site role has a 4-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the NC Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• One year of relevant experience or completion of a one-year clinical fellowship.
• Ability to administer complex diagnostic tests and evaluations of speech, language, and swallow disorders.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes diagnostic/therapeutic test results to establish patient goals.
• Selects and applies current techniques to provide rehab services.
• Provides counseling to patients and families regarding care.
• Supervises graduate students and clinical fellows.
• Develops or contributes to programs to enhance patient care and serves as resource clinician.
• Maintains records of procedures, progress, and recommendations.
