Job summary

UNC Health Care in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive services including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication, voice, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. You will educate patients and families, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and supervise students and fellows.

This role supports clinical training and program development while maintaining detailed patient records.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• 1 year of relevant experience or completion of a 1-year clinical fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes results of diagnostic and/or therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and/or modify treatment.
• Selects and applies current techniques to provide quality speech-language/swallow rehabilitation services.
• Provides counseling and feedback to patients and families through meetings and direct contact.
• Supervises graduate speech-language pathology students and clinical fellows.
• Develops or contributes to innovative programs to enhance patient care and serves as a resource to other clinicians.
• Maintains records of patient procedures, progress, and recommendations.
• Provides clinical speech-language pathology services—assessment and planning.
