Job summary

Adventist HealthCare’s AHC Rehabilitation - White Oak Medical Center seeks a seasoned Speech Language Pathologist to join the Inpatient Therapy Department, promoting holistic care across physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

The role involves evaluating patients, delivering or guiding therapy, coordinating discharge planning, and maintaining thorough documentation with the care team. A Maryland license and BLS are required, with per diem shifts and day coverage available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience (at least 1 year in a related setting).
• Active Maryland License.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial examinations/evaluations to establish impairment, prognosis and plan of care.
• Provide or supervise therapy interventions aligned with plan of care.
• Plan for discharge considering goals and outcomes; arrange follow-up as needed.
• Document and communicate patient progress with care team; supervise rehab aides/assistants.
• Manage schedule to accommodate census and patient load; participate in team meetings.
