Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's White Oak Medical Center Rehabilitation seeks a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to support inpatients and outpatients across rehab settings. The role requires an SLP credential, Maryland licensure, and BLS, with priority given to candidates with at least 1 year in a relevant setting.

Responsibilities include intake examinations, planning and delivering therapy, coordinating discharge plans, and documenting patient progress for the care team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience (at least 1 year in setting preferred).
• Active Maryland License.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs an initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment/diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care.
• Provides, or directs and supervises, therapy interventions aligned with the plan of care.
• Plans for discharge and follow-up in coordination with the care team.
• Communicates, coordinates and documents all aspects of patient management with the care team.
