Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a staff supervisor for the speech therapy team. You will maintain a daily caseload of patients and supervise staff on complex cases, while evaluating patients to departmental standards and counseling families accordingly.

You will also complete reports, statistics, and billing records, act as a liaison with the Head and Neck Cancer Center, and coordinate swallowing services for the ALS Center, establishing policies for evaluation and treatment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience with 3 years supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily caseload of patients (at least 5 per day).
• Supervise staff speech therapists on complex cases.
• Evaluate patients and coordinate swallowing services as needed.
• Counsel patients and families per departmental standards.
• Complete patient reports within specified time frames.
• Prepare daily/monthly statistics and billing records.
• Act as liaison between Speech Department and Head and Neck Cancer Center.
• Establish policies for swallowing evaluation and treatment services.
