Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia disorders. Responsibilities include administering evaluations, interpreting results, counseling patients and families, providing ongoing education, and developing group therapy programs.

Requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, NY license, ASHA CCC-SLP, and at least 1 year of experience. On-site position.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• New York State SLP license required.
• CCC-SLP certification (ASHA) required or pending.
• At least 1 year of speech-language pathology experience.

Responsibilities

• Administers speech-language and cognitive evaluations to assess impairment.
• Evaluates test results to determine impairment and treatment plan.
• Counsels patients and families about communication disorders and coping strategies.
• Provides ongoing education to patients, families and caregivers.
• Develops and implements group therapy programs for patients and families.
• Records and maintains treatment reports and progress notes.
• Participates in training to update knowledge on new treatment methods.
