Job summary

Optum is seeking a Per Diem Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication and quality of life in a home setting.

The role requires a current state license, CCC-SLP, CPR certification, and reliable transportation. A preferred candidate has 1+ year of experience in Speech Pathology.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP certification with an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• 1+ years of experience in Speech Pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation and AAC support for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication and safety.
• Deliver in-home evaluation and treatment and perform other duties as assigned.
