Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide per diem home care services. The role involves evaluating patients, planning treatment, and collaborating with families to restore communication and swallowing functions across all ages.

You will assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, develop plans of care, and support outcomes, with oversight by physicians and a focus on high-quality patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree Speech Language Pathology
• Ability to work at various locations and shifts per diem
• Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of work flow
• Ability to identify patient specific speech rehabilitation learning needs
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• SLP - Licensed Speech Language Pathologist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, directs, and administers speech therapy programs to restore function and independence.
• Evaluates speech language and swallowing function to detect disorders.
• Evaluates cognition, language, reading and speech intelligibility.
• Delivers patient care with physician oversight of programs.
• Delivers documentation/billing in accordance with policies.
• Assists in increasing intelligibility using communication aids.
• Reviews quality and effectiveness of services provided.
• Administers, scores, and interprets hearing and speech tests.
• Plans or conducts rehabilitative treatment for speech and swallowing issues.
• Assists in determining dietary feeding levels for dysphagia.
