Qualifications

• IAFN accredited SANE A course with IL clinical component
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to sexual assault patients in hospital setting
• Conducts forensic exams and evidence collection with consent when appropriate
• Maintains chain of custody for evidence and records
• Documents assessments, evidence collection and interventions
• Educates patient about exam, procedures, treatment and follow‑up care
• Coordinates with law enforcement and advocacy groups as applicable
• Provides legal testimony on SANE cases when subpoenaed or requested
