Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed IAFN accredited SANE A course for adults with Illinois clinical component.
• BSN or higher in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to sexual assault patients in hospital.
• Performs medical-forensic exam and evidence collection per policy.
• Maintains chain of custody and documents assessments and interventions.
• Coordinates with law enforcement and advocacy groups as needed.
• Educates patients on exams, procedures, and follow-up care.
