Job summary

Millennium Surgical Center is seeking a per diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care from preop through PACU, ensuring patient safety and comfort. You may assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile techniques and help prepare patients for discharge.

The role requires an accredited RN program graduate with active RN licensure, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years in PACU or critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PreOp/PACU.
• Monitor patient condition with continual evaluation and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique; prepare patients for discharge.
