Advanced Surgical Care of Clearwater, LLC, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a Preoperative Pacu Registered Nurse for per diem coverage. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgement.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients in PACU with continual evaluation of condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy during recovery.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge.
