Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is actively seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities throughout the Hampton Roads area. You will select shifts and enjoy flexible scheduling while delivering high‑quality nursing care in leading acute care settings.

Choose Day & Night shifts with daily or weekly pay options and build a schedule that fits your life. You must hold Virginia RN license with 2+ years PCU experience, BLS and ACLS, and be up to date with required

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment required for PCU patients
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines
• Provide patient and family education
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs

Skills
