Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking a Per Diem PCU Registered Nurse (RN) in Hampton Roads, VA. Enjoy flexible day and night shifts with per diem opportunities across leading hospitals in the area.

Active Virginia RN license, 2+ years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, and up-to-date TB test are required. Per diem pay is competitive with daily and weekly pay options, and scheduling is highly flexible.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license active and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS - American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and PCU-specific equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and adhere to safety guidelines.
