First Choice Nurses in Hampton Roads, VA, is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse for per diem hospital opportunities. You can pick up occasional shifts or build a fuller schedule, with Day and Night shifts available and per diem pay.

Enjoy the flexibility of per diem nursing while supporting acute care hospital settings; hospital opportunities across Hampton Roads; active Virginia RN license and BLS/ACLS required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license and current BLS/ACLS on file.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• Ability to work day or night shifts per per diem opportunities.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital infection-control standards and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.

• Active Virginia RN License

• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
