Job summary

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our perioperative team. The RN will support Pre-Op/Admitting and PACU care, performing IV starts, pre-op instructions, and ensuring patient safety from admission through emergence.

The role requires Idaho RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and prior perioperative experience. Our team emphasizes collaboration, patient rights, and high-quality care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Idaho.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative nursing care and IV starts.
• Perform pre-operative instruction and consent checks.
• Maintain PACU readiness and monitor patient recovery.
• Assess vital signs, airway, pain, and oxygenation post-op.
• Document nursing notes and anesthesia communications.
