Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This per diem position requires the ability to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, with 24 weekend hours if needed, and shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm.

The role includes patient assessment, care coordination, and education to patients and families, within a Magnet-designated system known for nursing excellence.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing, required.
• License: Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois, required.
• Certification: CPR certification from the American Heart Association, required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families, and colleagues in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Individually tailors teaching to patient and family learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
