Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Headache Unit on a per diem, day shift basis in Arlington Heights, IL. The role offers a 7:00 am to 7:30 pm schedule with weekend responsibilities and a minimum 48 hours every 6 weeks.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, and patient education, with emphasis on safe, effective, and timely interventions and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school.
• Illinois RN license.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect health data with family involvement.
• Coordinate the plan of care to ensure safe, timely interventions.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and colleagues in person and in writing.
• Provide individualized teaching tailored to learning needs and adjust as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current nursing knowledge.
