Job summary

Ideal Option and Ideal Balance is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) injection specialist to safely administer injections, educate patients, and monitor responses in a per diem capacity.

The role requires an active Oregon RN license, BLS, and 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in outpatient settings. This on-site position emphasizes patient safety, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Oregon.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with injection techniques and medications.
• Strong pharmacology knowledge and drug interactions awareness.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer injections (IM and subcutaneous) following proper protocols.
• Assess patients prior to injections for safety and appropriateness.
• Educate patients about injections, benefits, and potential side effects.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and intervene as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of injections and responses.
• Follow infection control and medication handling guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications and supplies.
• Stay updated on best practices, new medications, and safety regulations.
• Comply with PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
