Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Idaho
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Experience with injection techniques and medications
• Knowledge of pharmacology and potential interactions
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort

Responsibilities

• Administer various injections (intramuscular and subcutaneous) per protocols
• Assess patients prior to injection administration for safety and appropriateness
• Educate patients about injections, benefits, and potential side effects
• Monitor for adverse reactions and provide appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation of injections and patient responses
• Follow strict infection control and medication handling guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure medications and supplies are stored properly
• Stay updated on best practices, medications, and safety regulations
• Comply with PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
