Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN license.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, outpatient or hospital.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with injections and medications.
• Strong pharmacology knowledge.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer injections (intramuscular and subcutaneous) following protocols.
• Assess patients prior to injection to ensure safety.
• Educate patients about purpose, benefits, and side effects.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and provide interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of injections and patient responses.
• Follow infection control and medication administration guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure medications and injection supplies are stored and handled properly.
• Stay updated on best practices, new medications, and safety regulations.
• Comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
