Job summary

Westerly Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care for geriatric psychiatry patients in Rhode Island. Under the nurse manager, you will apply the nursing process and primary nursing principles to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RI RN license; geriatric psychiatric experience and hospital experience preferred. CPI training within 1 year is required.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Rhode Island.
• Experience in geriatric psychiatry preferred; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient's physical and psychological condition continuously, documents data, and shares information with the care team.
• Adheres to Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.
• Acts as a clinical resource and role model for staff.
• Participates in training and education activities for staff.
• Demonstrates respect, compassion, and professionalism in all patient interactions.
• Collaborates with team and utilizes resources effectively.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Must have and maintain license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island.

Experience

Previous Geriatric Psych exp required; Previous hospital exp pref

LICENSURE

CPI training within 1 yr of employment. Must have an maintain license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island.
