Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care in geriatric psychiatry at Westerly Hospital. Under guidance of the nurse manager, you will apply the nursing process and primary nursing principles across the care continuum.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration, and ongoing professional development. RI RN licensure, BLS, CPI training within 1 year are required or expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in geriatric psychiatry; hospital experience preferred.
• Current RI RN license; BLS required; CPI training within 1 year of employment.

Job Duties

Under the direction of the nurse manager, manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
