Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health in Westerly, RI is seeking a registered nurse to deliver individualized, goal-directed nursing care under the nurse manager, using nursing process and primary nursing principles to guide every patient interaction. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, RI RN licensure with BLS; CPI training within 1 year of employment is expected.

Prior geriatric psychiatric experience in a hospital setting is preferred to support our patient population.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's physical and psychological condition and document data; share assessment findings with the care team.
• Adhere to Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.

• Participate in training and educational activities for staff.
• Demonstrate respect, compassion, and professionalism in patient/family-centered care.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure teamwork and quality care.
• Report to work on time and follow attendance policies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

EXPERIENCE

Previous Geriatric Psychiatric experience required; Previous hospital exp preferred.

LICENSURE

Current RI License as a Registered Nurse BLS required CPI training within 1 yr of employment
