Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks a registered nurse at The Westerly Hospital to provide individualized, goal-directed care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles. The role reports to the nurse manager and supports patient-centered care in a busy hospital setting.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with Rhode Island RN licensure, is required. Geriatric psychiatry experience is preferred, CPI training within one year of employment is expected, and adherence to hospital

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis and document findings.
• Adhere to Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.
• Act as a clinical resource and role model for staff.
• Participate in training and education activities for team members.
• Provide high levels of patient-centered service with dignity, compassion and professionalism.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe, effective care and teamwork.
• Report to work on time and follow attendance policies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Must have and maintain license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island.

Experience

Previous Geriatric Psych exp required; Previous hospital exp pref

LICENSURE

CPI training within 1 yr of employment. Must have an maintain license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island.
